Another bride here who used Times Square Orchestra and was very happy. They were awesome and we still get compliments on how they kept our reception rocking!! Definitely got a 10 out of 10 from us.

I really like the Times Square Orchestra and haven't heard anything bad yet, I'm kinda leaning their way!

We are using Arcadia (LI Paramount). We liked them as guests at a few weddings and they are even nicer to deal with as a bride-to-be. They do many, many showcases at Westbury Manor, Fox Hollow, Chateau Briand. Check them out!

DEFINITELY check out Full House Music. They are known as Long Island's ultimate cover band for a reason...they have a VERY high standard for their music, and they sound genuinely like the original artists. This was an *absolute* requirement for my reception music and I got what I wanted!

I booked Body Heat for my wedding this Saturday. I have heard great things about them. I will post reviews after I am back from my honeymoon. I heard them in a showcase and they are really good. They have been around for awhile and are very reputable.

I had Rhapsody and everyone loved them. We also liked several of the Franklin Wayne bands, but they all started at about 5K. If money's not an object, check out the Wayne bands and the Skyline Bands. We thought Skyline was good, too. They had a great mowtown sound, but I don't really like Mowtown and they were a little more expensive than Rhapsody.

I'm using Primetime Live (LI Paramount). I saw them at a showcase after hearing over 20 bands through showcases, CDs and videos. My first choice was Kameleo - but they were booked.

If you really like the people in the band and hear good things about them you should make sure you see them again at a showcase. Also, talk to people that attended a wedding that they played. That's what I did and it made it easier for us. We went with Times Square. Good Luck!

i am not using a band but a friend wants to. why do they take soooo many breaks???

A good band shouldn't take any breaks other than during dinner, dessert, or anything else where the guests should be sitting, however, if the band takes breaks I would have to say it's to rest.... I would think that playing live music and singing all night gets exhausting, a guess I sip of water won't hurt anyone... But like I said, a GOOD band should schedule their sets right

I had already attended a wedding where my band played and the only time I saw them take a break was when the food was being served for the main course. Even then, there were always two or three people on stage playing background music as people ate dinner. Very big issue for me. Too much money to take a lot of breaks. They barely sat down. That's the way it should be!
