Can anyone give me some info on not so expensive bands they have used or are using. I can not spend tons of money on a band but are looking for a fairly decent one that sounds very good. The most I would like to spend is 4500 to 5000 tops. thanks in advance.

code bleu is $4900 for 8 pieces! they are awesome- i am having a hard time choosing between them and heart and soul, a 9 piece band that is $5900. both prices include cocktail hour and continuous music. there is showcase on the 13th thursday at the milleridge inn for code bleu. you should hear them play!

Hmmm I think elite music told me that they had bands which started at 4500. I can tell you two bands that I thought were good that aren't too far off of your range (they are 5500 - you may or may not be able to negotiate with them- price they qouted me included cocktail hour music) Times Square Orchestra - I am using them and they showcase Full House - both of these are vendors on the board and I believe both showcase. Give them a call they might work with you.

I have seen code blue and body heat .Both of these bands are awesome.If i were to choose a band it would be one of these two.I opted to go with a DJ instead.Good luck

you should do a search for bands on this site. you will find a wealth of information. so much so that it can be overwhelming. my suggestion to you is to start going to band showcases so you can hear for yourself. i have seen 8 bands now based on everyone's recommendations. and my fiance is being a pain about choosing!!!!

because i am a singer myself, i am extra critical of the bands. which can be a problem :) i asked sean from code bleu if i can videotape this weeks showcase, because i already have a video of heart and soul. this way i will be able to compare and get feedback from others who cant attend the showcases. i really feel that the location and the music (food too) can make or break a wedding, so i want to be really sure of the decision i make.

Check out Full House. They are also a vendor on this board. They playd at my wedding at they were fabulous. They had everyone dancing all night long.
