Bands again...

Should I be nervous? I live out of town and drove in on Monday to hear Code Bleu. I loved them! My wedding isn't until September 2002, but I figured why not book them since I thought they were great and affordable. I went to talk to them and 5 minutes before me someone already booked them for my date. Is it really that competitive? should I make sure I book someone this month? Any one have thoughts on Top Shelf, Rhapsody or Hot Pursuit? Thanks for everyones help!

Bands again...

I wouldn't be nervous, but I would seriously start looking for someone. We booked our DJ in April for our Sept 2002 wedding and they said that it was good that we came in when we did because they are starting to get requests for 9/02 dates. Sorry, I haven't heard anything about the bands you mentioned. Good Luck in your search.

I am looking anywhere from 4-6,000. I am only having 130-150 so I probably want a small horn section. 7-8 piece band is perfect if there are more vocalists. Any tips are much appreciated. Where are you getting married?

my advise, do not book w/ hank lane. if you do, make sure you get everything in writing and you meet the band in person. do a search and read about our bad experience w/ hank lane or give me your email an i will be happy to tell you all about it!

Bands again...

I actually booked Code Bleu just Tuesday at the showcase and I'm getting married in April 2002. Another bride who was at the show at the same time I was had them hold my date for her until the end of the show. So my FI and I had to wait until the very end of the show to see if she came back (she didn't) thank goodness. But the lady mentioned that another girl wanted to book them but someone just head of her did and she was really upset - I wonder if she was talking about you (were you at the LI Marriot show)? Anyway, before Code Bleu I had my heart set on Kameleon (THEY ARE THE MOST AMAZING BAND I'VE HEARD YET) - just my opinion. The only reason I didn't book them was because they were over my price range. He quoted me 5,500 for reception and an additional 200 for cocktail hour. I would recommend seeing them, why don't you go on their website and contact them. You wont be dissapointed, they received a standing ovation when I saw them play at Le Bar Bat in the City.
