What are some quotes you have gotten for wedding bands?

I have talked to a few bands and they seem to be ranging from $6,400-$7,500 for 10 pieces. But depending on the band some included music for the cocktail hour, one was $250, one was $200. So told me tax and graturity included.
The other thing to ask is about feeding them. I have gotten different responses. They all didn't require it but one band said they would appreciate it and the other band said they don't expect anything.

I used Platinum and they were amazing! www.platinumbandmusic.com - Our guests are still raving about them.
We paid about $5,000 for 2 CH musicians and a 9 piece band for the reception.

Ask them to send you their DVD! (And you'll see on their web site that they are based out of NJ, but they do weddings on LI... they did mine!)

Look into Soul Revival ... they are my band and we are paying $4000 for a 5 piece band, and I think it's $7200 for the 9 piece, but they can do anything from 3 (jazz trio) to 9 (male and female singer, keys, guitar, bass, drums, sax and trumpet and something else I think ... )
They are great and the band leader is great!

Thank you again. We are going to Soul Revival's showcase on Oct. 29th. The Rhythm Shop is very pricey, but amazing.
