Bands--------Help

We booked Phoenix after seeing a bunch of bands out of Skyline Ochestras and also others. Most of Skylines were booked for June. We really did like phoenix when we saw them. I like the fact that the lead singers are husband and wife. Its a 9 peoce band and our quote was an even 4,000 for 5 1/2 hrs. 1 1/2 hrs of cocktail and 4 hrs after.

I would have loved to go with the band, but it's not really possible in the Briar Fox.
The rooms are Winter Garden Pavillion, Briar Fox and Garden Terrace, so I'm not sure exactly which ones Kim's using.

After searching for bands for weeks and not being happy I finally was recommended to Faze 4 Orchestras. They have several bands to choose from and they showcase in their own studio in Great Neck. By the way they were a pleasure to deal with. Their prices are a little higher than the other bands we looked at, but well worth it.

but I know that my cousin is looking for someone the day of the wedding to do her hair at her house ( my ringbearer, her son) is having his communion the morning of our wedding so she needs to be ready much earlier than the rest of us--so if you have any info on someone that could go to her house that would be great

Faze 4 is great! I used them for my wedding. we heard several of their bands and they were all good.

and it was one of the best investments! Not only did we have a GREAT time dancing that day but we've been to a few weddings since and its GREAT to be able to dance together. My husband would shy away from the dance floor, but now it encourages it

We went to the Sylva Dance Studio in Rockville Center. Private lessons are expensive - cost us close to $200 for 5 lessons (and that was a discount b/c my dad is a student). Your best bet woudl be to call around for small group lessons.

Has anyone heard Timepiece - one of the Franklin Wayne bands. We heard them Wed. eve at Watermill and thought they were great very versatile. But they are the only band we have heard. I got a quote of $4500 for 5 hours, they are 9 pieces. Does that sound about right??

But I guess I missed the obvious solution, which was to talk to my MOH before getting worried about it all!

We booked Timepiece for our wedding in August. We listened to many different bands, and all the prices were about the same. It came down to them and Code Blue, but we thought they were a little more upbeat.

Everyone really enjoyed the affair. We had the Skylite room.
