It's Friday and i don't feel like working so I'm making up threads. So 07 brides...what do you think...Band or DJ?

a band was a must for us, the idea of having a personal connection with the music and the fact that we've been to weddings with both and loved the ones with bands by leaps and bounds sealed it!

we are having a DJ - a band was just too much and when i finally got an amazin deal on one they were booked on my day

love the idea of a band, but way too pricey for us...we will have a DJ, and I am confident that they will be great

we would have been in the SAME boat but we got very lucky and had FIL's offer to pay for a band for us-- so we went with a band...

but otherwise, i would have had a DJ and i would have no problem telling people that I couldn't afford it-- we are paying for so much other stuff so I'm honest-- I like to keep it real lol I always give FIL's the cred!

when a band is really, really good, - you think its the real thing, plus the live energy!!!!

that's exactly how i felt when i saw our band-- i could close my eyes and it felt like the artists were up there singing-- and being a vocalist myself, i know first hand, how important pitch, tone quality and overall vocals are... one of the girls in my band does celine dion and it's like it's really her! amazing, now i'm all excited

totally agree

believe me, FH and I like a lot of hip hop and top 40 music but when we heard this band (recommended by 3 of my co-workers that used them) i could not believe how amazing they sounded!

we are having both-- but thst is the norm for Ireland.

A band over there is much more reasonable than over here- we are paying 1500 euro (about 2 thousand $) for our band + DJ- this includes 3 hours of band + 2-3 hours of Dj- pretty good!

If we were getting married over here we def would go with a DJ, as bands are way over our budget!
