This is one of my many reasons for hating UW. They're crazy when it comes to limiting what you can and can't say. I think it's crazy. Also, everyone there is like ultra sugary sweet. You could post the most hideous gown/shoes/favor/whatever, and everyone would come back at you like, oh, that's so so beautiful!! I mean, I don't know about you, but when I want an opinion, I want an honest opinion, not what you think I might want to hear. Another thing, that whole cash bar debate that seems to spark every other day. If you ask if a cash bar is tacky, like if there is any doubt in your mind, then there is your answer right there, don't bother asking. Then, don't jump down my throat when I say, yeah I wouldn't do it at my wedding. Another thing, that whole 'just subscribing' thing. HIT TRACK THREAD!!! I mean, sometimes half a thread is people saying Oh, just subscribing. Also, some of the people are obsessed with their post counts. Like, I think to be a buddy, you have to keep up a certain amount of posts, so a lot of them post things like 'Good morning!' or, 'I agree' Why bother? It seems as though they've gotten rid of most of their cool buddies too. And lastly (Sorry for going a little crazy here, I just had to get this off my chest), I absolutely hate hearing about these brides whose whole weddings cost less than my photographer will cost. Really, some of these girls spend less than $10 a person! Not that there is anything wrong with that, and I wish I could do the same, but unfortunately, I live in NYC, and things are expensive. Then they come back at you like, wow, why is your wedding so expensive? Ugh!!!!

Yes, the ladies there, from what I read, oooh and aaah over anything you post and yes, there weddings that cost less than my hall makes me jealous (cost wise only)

I was a member of Ultimate Wedding...then I registered for Ultimate Baby. I get an email that they are now going to charge for the boards. Hmmm...there are enough places out there to chat for free why would I pay???

I have heard that they ban people. I got a message from one of the admins once that I was being to harsh to someone else and all I said is that I would not have handled the situation like she did. After that I stopped going there...too much hassels!!

LIWeddings is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better!!

I think these sites are great for helping us, but some people just take everything way too serious.

They need to ignore things they dont like and move on.

For those of you who dont read WC...Ive heard that people from UW will 'spy' on other boards and report back. Ive even heard that people have been kicked off UW just for posting on a thread like this!

You better believe it, b/c it is true, they sent spies to another site a girl created and followed a thread there copied word for word what the ladies were writing, then tracked their ISP and banned them. Either you are on UW and no where else or you get banned. I am living proof and so are my friends and I. Life is too short to feel like I have to be tied to one board or be tracked and followed all over the place. Once they said we would have to pay to talk, I was more than happy to make my exit.

Ladies LIW is where its at You are not missing a darn thing not being on UW/UB or OUH. Wedding Channel is wonderful if you like the journal tracking thing
