Baptism Gift? how much

Sorry out of topic... I am NOT attending my friends baptism but would like to give a monetary gift. How much would you send? I have no idea how much to give - I don't want to send too much or too small.

I think $50 is good too. If you would like you can purchase a savings bond for $50 & then it will eventualy be worth $100. I always give savings bonds to children, that way I know the gift really is going to the child.
