i'm tempted to get tuna now but, sorry, i have to agree with weddingbees on this. it is not safe to overload on it.

maybe these articles might help: Mercury contamination in Fish OR this mini-guide HTH

I have to second that tuna really does work. This kid I went to high school with lost like 30 pounds or more on a tuna diet. Someone asked him how he did it and that's what he said. I love tuna to begin with, so I might try this...

it's cool. barb loves laxatives so i dont think the tuna is in her system long enough to affect her - but as for us normal people who actually utilize their digestive systems? BAD NEWS BEARS.

yea..mercury...

how many of you smoke?? morons.

Everything is bad for u if u eat it A LOT.. Even broccoli

anyway.. the main thing u should be eating is what i listed... and WATER. i drink soda 3x a yr..if that..and its usually diluted with water. have a cheese burger in btwn.. but 80% is diet, 20% is exercise. EVERYONE knows what they should and shouldnt be eating. no1 cares enough to end their unhealthy habits.

sorry im harsh

this might be applicable to others but not me. and i'm standing firm on this. i'm not pulling this out of nowhere. it seriously is NOT GOOD for you to eat tuna fish more than 1 or 2 times a week. LESS if you're actually eating tuna steak. they have extremely high levels of mercury and some people's bodies can't handle it.

and for the record... hardly ever drink (LOL despite my asking roz to come drink with me the 3 times this year i did drink) and my diet consists of mostly oatmeal.

you really should quit telling people to eat that much tuna. it might've been okay for you - but someone else won't handle it as well. mercury is bad news. it can like mess with your brain and get into your intestinal system and blood and stay in your system for a long time.

silly but... tuna calculator - how much can you safely eat?

ESPECIALLY for those of you who think you might be having kids within the next year. JUST SAYING.

I'm glad you got skinnier, Barb. Honestly. Good for you.

This isn't a 'safe' way to do it.

I think barb is just saying what personally worked for her.....shes not suggesting or telling people what to do, just what it was that helped her loose her weight that she was looking to drop.......

as everything, people should do their own research as it may not always work for everyone!!!!!!

Personally, I love tuna and i eat it once a week just because I like it......could I eat it everyday, prob not, but that's just me!!!

Re: Barb

oh light tuna in a CAN ... 12.3 oz..

i eat the ones int he pouches, i think its healthier... nutrionally, it is.. duno why but does any1 know how many ounces are in the pack?
grkbarbie Posted:

Re: Barb

lukily i had a pouch downstairs lol

4.5 oz a pack.

so 2-3 packs a week is SAFE.. meaing i can prob double that and still be OK.. they are just covering their asssess.

thank u

i win

besides i bike ride and pooo, A LOT

nothign stays in my system for more than 8 hrs, except corn

Barb, I would listen if I didn't eat almost everything under the sun. i just would like to be a size 12 again. Rome wasn't build in a day and what I did to my body wasn't either.
