I STOPPED IN BARBADOS WHILE BWE WERE ON A CRUISE. ITS A BEATIFUL NISLAND WITH SOME INCREDIBLE BEACHES. THEY TOLD US THAT EVERYTHING IS VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT I GUESS THEY ALL ARE. GOOD LUCK

Barbados
We were in Barbados just for a day on our cruise for our honeymoon. We LOVED it and are planning to take our 'second' honeymoon there on our anniversary! My parents were there on their honeymoon 33 years ago & stayed at the Sandy Lane hotel. My husband and I went there to check it out and it's BEAUTIFUL!! Not sure about prices though, but I'd check it out. Keep us posted!!

went there for our honeymoon...
Hi there! Stayed there for about 5 days then went to St Thomas. We had a LOT of fun in Barbados and plan to go back. WE stayed at the Cracabank ( sp?) apartments. You had an efficiency apt with a kitchenette. NO TV, but def had AC. Had there own pool and was steps away from a really nice beach. This place was NOT luxurious though. We booked it through a local travel agency that books a lot of flights for transplants from barboados that live in NY. We did a LOT of touring on our own..using the public bus system which is $1.50. People are VERY friendly and helpful, very welcoming. We shopped in the loal supermarket & picked up bfast and snacks there..so we could start the day at our leisure. Food is expensive there. Remember it is an island, so most things are brought in..therfore expensive. Went to local restaurants for great seafood dinner..had jazz musicians playing. Good shopping for liqour and jewelry..just be sure to buy in an established store..not off the street. We had a lot of fun. Next time we may stay in a fancier place...but still tour the island ourselves. hope this helps!Welcome New Vendors
