Re: bare minerals
I just had to crash because I've been wanting to try this makeup also - what is the difference between bare minerals & bare essentials? Is it the same product just differnt brands? Which one has the mineral veil?

Bare Escentuals is the company, bare minerals is the product name. I asked them the question the first time I went to the store.

Re: bare minerals
I actually bought the bronzer and the makeup powder kept falling all over the place so i could barely use it. Right now, most of the powder is at the bottom of my makeup bag so whenever i need it i blot my brush in the bag, lol, its quite a mess. i dont think im dainty enough for this makeup. the actual bronzer is decent, but not what i expected.

Re: bare minerals
is this stuff hypoallergenic?
i bought a knock off mineral poweder that loreal makes and i absolutely loved it.....it was mineral powder that went on with a brush but it was like a creamy poweder and it gave light coverage.....but then i started getting either little pimples or a rash (not sure) all over my face. and i dont get pimples so i know it wasnt just my regular skin - it was def from wearing the make up......i was sooooo bummed out because i really liked it......i just dont want to spend $60 on this stuff and the same thing happens

Re: bare minerals
My Mom and I went to Ulta last night to buy it. When we looked at it we were unsure about what color to get. Then when I opened one of the compacts, the powder just went all over the place. Does it really give good coverage?

Re: bare minerals
Bare Minerals is awesome. I have used it for almost 2 years now. It should be 100% hypoallergenic because it's all natural. I use the foundation, warmth (i use it as a blush but am considering buying a blush in a pinky color), the bisque and an eye shadow called true gold (it's one of their glimmers). The eye stuff is great. AMAZING color and it lasts a long time. The bisque I've just started to use more often - I was using it on my eyes only, but it's great for covering up red spots - my cheeks are kinda red lately, and it works wonders.
I stopped using it for a while because I felt I wasn't getting enough coverage. But then someone at Ulta told me to use a foundation primer with it. I bought some smashbox and it's GREAT. Really helps with the coverage. BM makes one too now, but I heard it wasn't as good as Smashbox or NARS, etc ...
Anyone who hasn't tried it - it's great.

Re: bare minerals
I love this makeup. Aside from the primer which will give you more coverage, it comes with two brushes, and one of the brushes gives you much more coverage than the other one. I use the lighter coverage brush, and it really evens out my skin. I the whole line (eyeshadows, eyeliners, blushes) and it all blends so beautifully.
