I know a lot of girls had good experiences at Barrons...but I have to say I've been there about 3 times for different reasons, and the lady there is very impatient and not very helpful. She just wanted me to make a decision and buy something already...and I was there all of maybe 5 mins. This has happened to me each time I was there. UGGHH...sorry, I had to vent!

You're not the only bride who has said this. If you don't like the service, go somewhere else.

Yea, I've decided that the cheaper prices aren't worth the hassle!

Re: Barrons
i know what you mean. the first time i was there the guy helped me and he was pretty patient, the lady was not... i went a 2nd time, and she was the same, but i figured that was just her personality... she wasn't rude, exaclty.. just not overly friendly, until i was ready to order my veil. $ talks!

Exactly! I know if I had wanted to order $300 worth of stuff she would've been kissing my A$$...I hate ppl like that...fake for $$. I also think its really rude to talk another language in front of ure customers...I just don't trust them...they rub me the wrong way!

Sorry to hear about that. I dealt with the man and he was great but I know a lot of people complain about the woman.

Re: Barrons
I am so glad you posted this, I went there based on the million of feedback on here and was completely turned off. I asked to see one veil that was wrapped in the plastic, and she told me if I couldn't spend $300 then it wasn't worth her going thru the trouble opening it up. Definetely went somewhere else.

Re: Barrons
I bout my veil and headpiece at Barrons and dealth with the lady. While she's not the friendliest, she is quite knowledgable and the veil came out great. She told me that if I wanted to add more crystals after seeing the veil with the dress, to just bring back the veil anytime and she would take care of it. It was well worth the price.
Think about it. Not everyone in the world can be a nice person to deal with.

they're really not that cheap!! unless you're getting a very plain veil, you can get comparable and cheaper prices elsewhere! (like bridal elegance)
i got my first set of veils there (that FDwedding wore) and they were VERY expensive! i wound up getting my second set at BE and they were more detailed and cheaper
my only word of advice: don't base everything on LIW...go out and comparison shop yourself

Re: Barrons
I'm sorry you had a bad experience. When I ordered & when I went back to pick my veil & headpiece up, the guy was there. He was very nice & so helpful. I never met the woman, but it sounds like she's not as good.

Re: Barrons
I agree, when I went there last month it was a guy....and even though he had 4 customers to juggle and he was all by himself....he was very nice and patient with me.......maybe the lady is a completely different story. But Id did get a decent price...better then some of the bridal places I priced...and mine has beading too.

Re: Barrons
i have to add to this post - i actually went to pick up my veil today, and the woman there (yana) was very sweet, maybe because the order was already in - but she did a wonderful job, and even asked me to bring in a picture afterwards! it might be so she can show other customers, who knows... but she was sweet to ask. like other girls have said, it's hard to go by one or two girls' reviews - positive or negative. we will all have different experiences - it could be something as silly as the day or time of day we go see these vendors! obviously that doesn't excuse poor customer service, but each of us has our own idea of what we want in a vendor - so definitely shop around until you find those that fit your personality!!!

Re: Barrons
i dealth with the guy, and he was wonderful...reassuring me when i questioned him and bringing over all sorts of things for me to try on and re-try on as i made my decision. if you decide to go back, deal with the dude :) and ask if they have a discount for liweddings...it was only 5 bucks, but hey...better in your pocket than theirs!!!

Is Bridal Elegance really comparable in price? That's good to know! I keep hearing about Barrons' prices, but I got my dress at Bridal Elegance. I would rather try on veils while I'm wearing my dress because the whole dress is overlaid with lace and crystals and I'm afraid that not every veil will go with it. That would be great if their veil prices are good so I can try it on with the dress so the styles aren't competing with each other.

Re: Barrons
Everyone will have a different experience so by all means if you were not treated right, do not give them your business.
I, however, had a really good experience there. I bought my headpiece from them (not my veils) and they were SUPER patient while I decided on mine. I came back 2 weeks later because I noticed something was loose and they fixed it for me. They also calmed me down because I had just lost my wallet in the parking lot at Tri County and they REALLY made me feel better because I was very close to losing it. So I definitely give them props for being patient and nice. I also got my headpiece for a very good price compared to what I had seen elsewhere.
Again, that's just my experience. No vendor will get 100% positive feedback. That's why it's important for people to make their own determinations.

I have heard the same thing. I was told to try and go when the son is there and that the mother is very impatient!

Re: Barrons
I just got back with my daughter. She had bought her headpiece there a few months ago and was ready to buy her veil. We had been there a few times, looking and dealt with Yana (the woman) Every time she helped us, she was nice, helpful and patient. Tonite my daughter spent over an hour trying on many different veils before making her final decision. Yana was very patient and gave suggestions. We ordered the veil and I'm sure it will be beautiful.
