I heard alot about Barron's for girls that got veils and headpieces. Since I live in Queens and it's really far from me I was wonderinig if you guys think it is worth the hike??
Is there really good stuff at great deals or not so much?
TIA

Re: Barron's
When I went there once and looked at headpieces and not veils. They had a lot of headpieces to choose from. Sorry I have no info on veils though

Re: Barron's
My sister got her veil and headpiece there and we live in Queens too. It is definitely worth the trip but you should go knowing what you want. They can make any style you show them and they're really reasonable!

where in Queens are you? I'm in Astoria and I didn't find it too far AT ALL!!! Ialso bought my headpiece from there and I absolutely love it! They had a wide selection and I definitely think it's worth a trip. They also had lots of veils, but I didn't look since I already have mine.
Some of the veils can be pricey.....it depends on what you are looking for and what your price range is. For me I will buy at a store or online to save myself some $.

Re: Barron's
i agree about knowing what you want, my sister went there after she made her decision about her veil and saved SOOOO much money. she got a 16ft cathedral veil and a blusher for $150!

Re: Barron's
I live in queens too and work in LI so it's really not far.
It's only 20 minutes over the nassau/queesn border.
They probably beat any instore price. I have only heard people doing slightly better on ebay but I want to see what I am getting and know who I am working with.

Def worth it. I always swing by there and look but know that they have a great selection and when I am ready to buy, I am getting the headpeice and veil from there.

Re: Barron's
It is totally worth it. my friend got her veil there for like 150 and the bridal salon was going to charge 300 for the same thing. i cannot see the difference at all..... her head piece came out beautiful as well..and they are a pleasure to work with. her head pice needed something to add to it and they did, without any problems....

Here is my tiara.
I am in Jackson heights which is right by Astoria, so I guess I thought it was further then it is. Maybe I will check it out one weekend.

Re: Barron's
That's what I thought a veil was going for around there - $150.
Is that typically for a cathedral or short or does it vary??

Re: Barron's
I priced a simple angel cut finger lenght there and they said about $35 - $50
