Bars in the city

Going into the city to visit my sister again next friday and we want to go out dancing. Any one have any recommendations. 80's music would be great but no necessary. TIA!

It did? When did they close?
I am so sad right now, I always wanted to go there as part of my bachelorette party!
Another thing to blame FH for waiting so long to propose!!
First Fortunoff now Culture club, what next ? Ben & Jerrys will discontinue my favorite flavor!

There are a bunch of good bars in the Murray Hill area - Bar XII, Mercury and Galway Hooker are all fun.

I like Sutton Place on the upper east side, there is a good mix of people who go there.

I havent been to Saloons in ages, that is a good place as well, they have a bigger dance floor then Sutton Place.

I know Mercury, Bar XII and Joshua Tree are all pretty close to each other - Galway Hooker is a little further. Actually, Galway Hooker is fun but not much of a dancing place, the other 3 are probably a better bet.

Oh and Tin Lizzie's is another of my favs too! There's Calico Jacks and McFadden's too, but sometimes they have a younger crowd.
