Bars near Wantagh Inn...
Ok girls, I haven't lived on LI since I was 18 (10 years now...) and we are having our rehearsal dinner at the Wantagh Inn next Friday, wedding is on Sunday. I wanted to find a place in the area were the BP could go after the dinner to get to know each other since everyone is from all over the US. I know Mulcahey's is right next door, but that scene is a little to 'long Island' for me (no offense to anyone
). So is there a nice, fun, not-so-chessy bar in the area that anyone can recommend? THanks!

Re: Bars near Wantagh Inn...
Hmmmmm... Too LI? LOL!
There are a few bars on Wantagh Ave. There is Lily Flanagan's, Guido's Irish Pub (believe it or not, that's what it's called)... OH and ugh! It's going to kill me, I can't think of the other one!!! I'll come back and tell you, I have to figure it out!
That makes me mad!
I've been there a few times, it's pretty good. Lily's get's a little too crowded and I've never been to that Guido's place. But they are all sooo close to the Wantagh Inn. I'll be back with the name of that other one! This is going to annoy me!

There is also Boss Croker's- at least that is what it used to be called- it is right on the other side of the train tracks in that shopping center.

You could just stay at the Wantagh Inn. There is a bar downstairs that is pretty fun and there are tables you can get too.

Re: Bars near Wantagh Inn...
There is a bar in the Wantagh Inn if you want to keep the party there...
Guido Mulligan's is the Irish Bar...it never gets 'packed'...Hemingway's is a restaurant/bar like the Wantagh Inn
Lily Flannigans is a smaller verison of Mulchaeys in my mind...
there is a place called Frankie G's around the corner on Sunrise Hwy...but I've always said away from it...
