Just looked up the World Series schedule b/c I got nervous that it might still be going on during my wedding (I have some major b-ball fans in friends and family). It says Game 7 is set for Nov. 1st (yikes!). But this can be pushed back due to weather and other factors, right? Yikes, another thing to worry about.
ETA: Just realized it's in italics, which means game 7 is 'if necessary'.

Re: baseball people
im wish you. apparently the Giants play the Eagles at home on my wedding night! FH told me as a joke that he could make the game cause the wedding ends at 5 and the game is at 8:15. i told him not unless he wants the shortest marriage in history!!! i may have to deal with having the game on alittle so he can see the score.

Okay good. I'm just worried about a rain date. My friends would still attend of course, but they might be hovered in the corner with a radio. lol.

Re: baseball fans: question
Game 7 for the World Series can not go past Nov 1st. I mean if there were some major weather situation that would force a cancellation (and the stadiums they play at do not have roofs) maybe they would push it one more day because I can't see them doing a double header due to the fact that it is the World Series but that's if Game 7 is needed. To win the World Series a team only needs to win 4 out of the 7 games.

if it makes you feel any better, the giants are gonna have trouble this year , they already had enough guys get hurt in the first game.. it might be a killing by the eagles.. then it wont be much of a game!!

Re: baseball fans: question
crapppp! I saw your post and just went to check the postseason schedule and there are two games on my wedding day!
So if the Mets make it (knock on wood!!!), they could potentially be playing game 2 in the NCLS the night of our wedding! FH better not even dream of suggesting someone put on the game somewhere in the reception

Isn't it sad that we have to worry about these things? My cousin (who is not even engaged yet) told his GF that they have a short window of time they can marry, between football and baseball season.

Ohhhhh boy Yesenia!!!!! Well he can always get a mini tv and every once in a while check the score if wifie allows it. Or he can have a mini radio on hand lol or get texts messages sent directly from MLB to update the scores. I did the last one last year because I was at a conference and couldn't get to a tv.

i guess i am lucky - if the yankees make it i think there is a game the day before and the day after our wedding, not on it!
but...
the jets are playing the giants in the middle of our wedding!! and they only play each other like once every four years!
ugh how can they be so inconsiderate...
i just told FH we will have to have our DJ give score updates!

Re: baseball fans: question
LOL all this is making me laugh because for my sisters wedding in 1986 when the Mets were playing the world series (i was 1 by the way) my father actually bought with him a radio and in the video you see him cheering with my uncle and friends (its soooo hysterical)
