Basic Invite questions

I'm not sure if i need to start this yet (May is the wedding) but I was thinking in order to save some money that maybe i would make them myself and that I am sure will take time, anyone out there price out having them done vs. doing them yourself any suggestions for me?

Unless you want really simple AND you have a very good printer - its probably cheaper to have it done.

where should I look stef? Even just for ideas. My videographer company offers 20% invites after booking with them so that might be something to consider too.

I used Simply Elegant in Bayside. It was recommended on this board a long time ago. The woman's name is Gail. She is really nice. She works from her home and offers 30% of invitaion book price. I ordered and rec'd my invites in about 2 weeks! Everythig was perfect. She has tons of books in her house.

There are soooo many sites but I am a paper freak so I didn't even look at the more budget minded stuff knowing that the paper wasn't thick enough for my warped mind.

There are a ton of wedding invite sites.
www.creationsbyelaine.com has some very nice invites. Always order a sample first so you can see the quality.
Making your own can cost more.
