Basket

I am not sure where to look for this information and you guys are always so helpful so I thought I would ask you. I am looking for a place on Long Island that makes up baskets. I just found out that my cousins nephew was killed on Long Island thursday morning in an accident and I would like to send them something but the only place I know of is 1-800-flowers and I don't want to use them. If you have any info I would greatly appreciate it. By the way I would need a place that delivers since I can not pick it up from down here in Florida. Thanks Girls I appreciate anything you can give!

Re: Basket

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. All our prayers are with you and your family. What type of basket are you looking to send. Do you want it to be flowers or like a fruit basket or some other kind of food? There is a good place in Bellmore called Possabilities Unlimited. Their # is 516-679-8400, and their website is www.giftsplusflowers.com.

Re: Basket

I have recieved quite a few forum mails expressing sympathy so I thought I would say Thank You here. Also, a few people asked what happened. Peter is the 19 nephew of my cousin who was out with his friends last night. The driver lost control of the car and crashed into a utility pole where the truck flipped a few times and Pete was thrown out of the car, they told they family that he more than likey died instantly. I am sure there are others out there who have stories about the last year or so of thier lives but I must say I feel HORRIBLE for my cousin and her husband. He was president of a company in WTC1 so I don't think I have to tell you what kind of day he encountered 13 months ago. That day he lost quite a few lifelong friends...some of who were in his wedding planned for two months later they lived in Battery Park City so they were homeless after that for a few months (they stayed with my cousins father) than a few months later one of his two lifelong friends left had a heart attack and died at the age of 40,his buisness did not survive after the event and now his cousin dies...how much sorrow and pain can one family possibly take. Sorry this got really long. Started as a meare thank you and ended up a place where I could put my thoughts down. Once again, something in my life that reminds me that it is not worth it to fight with family in regards to my wedding! LOL I have to look at the bright side in life, its my nature ( although I am a pessimist to..go figure) Once again thank you all for the nice words.

Re: Basket

debbie i am so sorry, how sad and so tragic too.
the hardest death can be of someone of such a young age who wasn't ill. the shock is the worst when someone dies so suddenly.
As I have written before, when I was 27 yrs old, I lost my best friend, man I was going to marry, boyfriend of 4 yrs to a motorcycle accident. He was just 24 when he passed away. To make a long story short, to lose a young someone close to you is so hard. And for the parents, it is just undescribable, especially if one is an only child, like my ex was.
Once again, Good Luck, I am here for you as always, as is these other wonderful ladies.
