bathroom baskets

bathroom baskets

Do you think that it's really bad not to have a bathroom basket? FH and I were looking at our budget last night
It seems stupid, but all those bathroom goodies add up. Do you think guests will really miss the baskets?

Not at all....if you think there might be one or two items you wish you had, just make sure you get those....like maybe asprin...there is always someone looking for asprin.....but some of the stuff in there people never even touch!!

NOT AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and FH have been arguing like crazy today over money and this wedding tonight!!! I had to give up my monogram cake topper, monogram isle runner so far....and he FLIPPED on me that I bought 2 baskets and mints to put in the bathroom (even though it only cost me $14.00)
He's right though, why go crazy and spend all this oney on things people will NEVER remember!!!!
No one will miss it hunny believe me! They're gonna talk about how beautiful you looked, your food and your entertainment that's about it!!!

You don't have to, but I think it is a nice touch. You can always go to the dollar store and pick up a few little things, don't have to go nuts.

Thank you!! I'm glad I'm not the only one having 'discussions' this week with FH. He has been really supportive of everything I've wanted to do but I don't want to push it. It's so bad - we even got to the point of figuring out how much of a gift we would have to receive from each person to break even
I refuse to lose sight of the point of the day, so I'm willing to give in on bathroom baskets to avoid further stress

we're only putting a bathroom basket in the ladies room. It does add up, but some of your guests will appreciate it, especially if they need something from it. I myself have needed the sewing kit on more than one occassion!!

I am probably going to just put a basket in the ladies room. I just feel that if any of the guys need something they will either have it with them or ask their SO, who can run in to the ladies room to get it if she has to.

AMEN to that sista!!!! I'm tired of arguing with FH over little details....He has been so great with me throughout this whole process I can't blame him for not wanting to be any further into debt because of this wedding.....I wanted a grand wedding, he wanted to go to city hall....I pretty much got everything I wanted from the engagement party to the rehearsal dinner (he didn't want either) I think I will survive without my isle runner and complete monogram cake topper (I settled for one letter....)lolol

Not at all. But if you do end up doing it, go to National Wholesale Liquidators -- I got everything for both baskets for under $30 in total. Plus, I got the baskets at AC Moore with coupons for under $5. I decorated the baskets with ribbons and bows that I took off gifts from our E-party (or shower). It ended up not being so bad cost-wise. But like I said...if you would rather save that money, dont worry. Its totally okay to not have bathroom baskets.

not at all....people bring their own breath mints and usually put deoderant on before the affair If someone really needs hair spray, they usually have it with them.
I say....spend your $ on something else!!!!!! Like music or food. :

Thanks for the suggestion of National Wholesale - I never even thought of that. I will check it out, but at least now I know that other people have skipped on this detail as well
