My parents just had this done. They didn't want to gut the entire bathroom - especially since its in the basement and doesn't get alot of use. It was a 70's greenish color.
They had it reglazed in white and it looks amazing. They did the tub and the tiles around the tub. Its like they have a bright brand new bathroom.
FM me if you are interested. My parents are so happy with how it turned out. I think it cost them around $925. ETA - some blurry pics. They don't really do it justice - the whole bathroom was sea green - and now is bright white.
Just a word of caution to someone considering this - I would not do this in your primary bathroom. I live in buildings and that's how landlords 'renovate' the bathroom for the next person . Anyway, if it's a tub you use every day, the glazing gets both stained and begins to erode after time.
But, if it's a secondary bathroom like your parents, it seems to be a great deal.

i agree with eogara..... this was done to the place i just moved into, and it wore off and now looks like crap. im getting it done over by re-bath. they make a mold of your tub, and put it right over the existing one, so they dont have to rip anything out.

We did it and loved it. Eventually we will gut out the bathroom or reglaze again. We had ugly yellow! Now it is beige.
