My bathtub started to peel on the bottom... it is a white tub that now has a purpley circle in the middle of it...Has this happened to anyone else...
The bathroom is new, but I guess the tub was old so we don't want to redo the tile..any suggestions??

you might want to look in the yellow pages for someone that reglazes tubs. it sound like it might be a chip.

It actually sounds like your tub may have been reglazed before and the glaze is peeling off. Is that possible? You can get it re-reglazed but they charge a bit more if it's been done before because they have to remove the old layers.

I Used the Reglazing Doctor. They did a great job. They are in Islip and go to Nassau county and I think the city too.
