Can I start registering online and than go to the store and add things on later on? or is it one or the other?

Yes, this is what I did for both of my registries.

I am not certain, but I think you have to begin and give them your info in the store and then after can add to your registry online anytime you want

You can do it either way...it's fun to start in store though....they give you paperwork with checklists to fill out. I did the store first and then added online...everyday! lol
