Re: bbq restaurants?
Dinosaur located on Harlem, it's the best BBQ restaurant! Ice-T and his wife Co-Co are locals there. I love the chicken, ribs, and sweet tea. Make sure you reserve your seats in advance b/c it gets filled up quick. U'll have a good time there- beers and great food.
Another few places to try- Virgils, and Blue Smoke in the city.

Bobbique in patchogue village
I second bobbique. By far, the best bbq i have had on LI! Or Spicys in Riverhead....just as good as bobbique but bobbique has better ambiance

BBQs, they have like 4 or 5 in the city. I always have gone to the one in the village. Love it! Drinks are absolutely amazing and really cheap especially for the size and for being in the city

And I hear that if you go late, like right before closing, they LOAD you up on stuff. You'll be eating leftovers for days. Get the haystack - it's a pile of onion strings from here to the moon. And the monster bones beef ribs look like something about of an eating contest. They're like Fred Flintstone ribes. I could go on and on about them. They're total food porn.
