BC of all the Fortunoff hype....

I am going later with FH to Fortunoff's to buy some things off of the registry with our giftcard we have. I am hoping to God that this will be accepted.

Re: BC of all the Fortunoff hype....

I just came back from there and I used up all my gift cards. The women there dont know what is going on but she told me to use them.
I dont think im going to move my registry anywhere until i know if they are going out of business for sure. I didnt register for that many things there to begin with...

That's what I am doing. I mean it takes forever to close a whole entire store. Where would they put all that merchandise?

I was there and got 100 bucks worth of bath stuff.

As for sales- I didn't really see anything on sale. I only noticed some things on my registry on sale.

Re: BC of all the Fortunoff hype....

I have one of my registries at Fortunoff....
I'm getting married so I'm assuming my shower is sometime within the next 4 months

Should I leave it at this store or take everything off? I think I might still have time right?

Re: BC of all the Fortunoff hype....

its not about getting your gifts, its mainly about the return policy. If you are registering for things like candle sticks that you know you love and won't return, fortunoff's is fine. but if you are registering for things like towels, bedding, etc that need to coordinate with you home and you might be moving, that is the problem. We are going to be moving within 6 months of the wedding and will probably gut the entire house room by room so I may not want to keep the bedding and bathroom accessories I registered for because my bathroom might not be complete within the first year. I want to be able to get store credit so I can go back when I need the items. You also have to wonder if they will have your items in stock if they are not reording merchandise.
