BCP that stops your period!

Original post by GinaBambina08

Is it just me, or does this sound insane? As good as that idea sounds (not having to worry about PMS), isn't it kind of scary....what do you girls think?

I dont think I would go on seasonal. but I think it is okay to skip your period once in awhile by skipping the blank pills. But I wouldnt do that every month. But i did read once that it isn't necessary for you to have your period every month. Mostly cus woman are having children later now than they did in the old days or something like that. Who knows!

yes women are starting puberty earlier and getting menopause later so they dont really know the effects of ovulating so many times and menstruating so many times - some people think that it may increase cancer risk. . .

ps - i am not going on this pill or anything like that nor did i try seasonale. . . i just dont want to scare people off who want to try this kind of pill bc i DO think it can be beneficial to some people! i do LOTS of research on everything in the world that interests me and i know a lot of people dont do that - they may just see our opinions on here and let make a decision for them - that is why i posted my opinion!

tilde-you dont have to defend yourself...you're entitled to your opinion

I tried Seaonale when it first came out because you only get your period every 3 months. For the first 3 months it was awesome, but when I did get my period, it lasted for a little ever 3 weeks!!!!!!!! Needless to say, I'm back on the normal BCP and get it every single month... ugh.

are you serious??

Yes and it was horrific!! It wasn't heavy at all, but I still had it forever!!!! My gyn said that sometimes it happens and I that I should just stay on it. When I switched my BCP, I also changed my gyn
