Be Careful Throwing your Bouquet!!
My FH's cousin got married on Wed. Great wedding, had a blast.
Let me tell you though, I was very aware of things to do and not to do at their wedding.
During the ceremony our cousins laughed at the preist and bonked their heads. I'm not talking about a brush by each others forehead, I'm talking about a big 'thunk', Omigosh-they-just-clonked-their-heads-bonk.
*Mental note to self, stand further away from FH or do not laugh at pastor. *
Then at the reception....
It was time to throw the bouquet. The Bride decided to throw the bouquet over her shoulder low, as not to hit the low ceiling. The bouquet made a quick descent to the floor, only a few feet away from herself. An eager guest went in to swoop it up and slid on the newly polished dance floor and slid across the dance floor into the bride. Down our new cousin toppled.
I thought things like that only happened in Americas Funniest home videos. Now Im thinking of all of the things like that that may happen... theres a lot.
Even thought he likelyness of something like that is slim, I suggest ESPECIALLY for brides and BM's Make sure you scuff your shoes on cement to give a little traction. Also, call your catering hall and make sure that they are aware of your concern. They might be able to polish and not wax the floor prior to your occasion.
I just wanted to make you all aware that stuff like that really does happen.. Even though they will be laughing about it years to come, Wed. they were pretty embarrased.
