Beach Bum VS Hollywood Tan (or other)

I need to start tanning. For the wedding & also going to Florida (I won a company trip) & taking my MOH the first weekend in May (bathing suit + pale body= bad).

Has anyone tanned at Beach Bum or Hollywood Tans? I know both have several beds to choose from & have no idea which to choose. I haven't tanned in at least 7 years - lol....

i just did 3 tan sessions at beach bum.
$ yes.. the most expensive package yes..

BUT i did not get burned on vaca... and im STILL tan... its been about 2 weeks back

I've always gone (when I used to tan frequently- I haven't in years either) and currently go to Beach Bum. The salesguy suckered me into the most $$ package but i think it's worth it, because I only started last week and my wedding is next week and I already have decent color.

He said if I had gone with the cheaper package they're crappier beds so I might have burned. I always burn slightly before I tan but I don't have time to burn, i need to just tan. He said the more $$ beds are more browning beds and he was right.

i went to hollywood tan in carle place (country glen center) and got a monthly membership - $20 a month for unlimited tanning. I did it for a skin issue and didn't tan for long - 5 mins each time in a low-watt booth or low-intensity, whatever they call it ... but i liked them. clean! and no beds. all stand up booths. I hate beds, i got hot and sticky and I didn't really like the fact that other people laid on them naked .. ugh.

haha I hate to say he was right, but I really think it was worth the extra money. Those beds are waaaaay better than the bronze level beds.

Thanks ladies! I was wondering if the more expensive beds were worth it and seems like they are! I guess it's a worthwhile splurge- esp. if the tan lasts....
