Beach Ceremony

Beach Ceremony

I am looking to have my ceremony on the beach. I had planned to have it at the reception hall but I am affraid that my pictures will take forever and I really want the beach effect for pictures. Can anyone tell me any places in Suffolk County that will allow you to get married on the beach. I was thinking Sunken Meadow in Kings Park, or Short or Long Beach in Smithtown.

Do you know if permits are required, fees etc...

Also if anyone has done this do I need to rent chairs and a tent...

Thanks everyone.....

Re: Beach Ceremony

most public beaches will def require a permit and prob won't allow you to have chairs/tent, etc. i had originally put paperwork through to have our ceremony @ robert moses and ended up changing it to the fire island lighthouse bc i wasn't allowed to have anything besides people on the beach. town beaches might be a bit more lenient. good luck
