Hi there! I am recently engaged and my FI & I are looking into getting married around the Long Beach area. We looked at the Allegria and it was out of our price range. We fell in love with Bridgeview, but have decided to check a few other venues in the area, mostly because we really have out hearts set on having our ceremony on the beach. I was wondering if anyone has planned a ceremony through the City of Long Beach? Their permit is a little ridiculous (no rental chairs? c'mon!). If you've planned a ceremony through them, are they as strict as they come across in the permit? We are hoping to get married the first Saturday of September 2014. We are also open to Lido/EAB/Point Lookout. Thank you!

Beach Ceremony in Long Beach
I'm not sure about a beach wedding, but I just want to say thatq if you decide to go with Bridgeview, you won't be disappointed. Everything was so excellent. Above and beyond fantastic!

Beach Ceremony in Long Beach
I live in Long beach and there is a new Hotel that just opened called Long Beach Hotel, it is one block from the beach. They have a ballroom, so maybe check with them they may be able to do ceremony on beach with chairs. Any ceremonies I have seen not from the Allegria, it was people standing around.

Thanks so much! I actually live in LB too and have been to the new hotel. That is a great idea!!! I've heard from a friend of a friend who is getting married there that they are really easy to work with and pretty budget friendly for events. I'm going to look into it.

I was actually looking up wedding photos of the Allegria and I saw one girl had her ceremony in a tent on Long Beach! It was SO pretty.

Try Ocean Club in East Atlantic Beach. Small venue, great food, right on the beach.

Re: Beach Ceremony in Long Beach
Lido is part of the Town of Hempstead rather than the City of Long Beach. I wonder if it would be easier to have a ceremony on the beach in Lido instead.
I have grown up in Long Beach, and I very rarely see any weddings on the beach, so I'm thinking they probably are strict. It is probably easier to have a beach wedding if you did it through a vendor.
