Hey Ladies, I'm new here and I have a quick question. I booked the Beach Club Estate (they are affiliated with Windows on the Lake) for 6/2/2012. I was looking around for reviews of the place just to get an idea of the day of service, food, etc. I can't seem to find any on here except for reviews from 5 years ago. Does anyone have an opinion on this place?
I booked because it was a small cozy venue and it gave me a little island feel being right on the water and all. The location is also tucked away in a private spot so there is no traffic etc. Oh yeah and I got a GREAT deal on pricing.
Anyhow, has anyone gotten married there? been to a wedding there etc?

First congrats and welcome!
Beach Club is definitely a cute place! My friend got married there in Oct 2010 and it really was a really nice wedding. The staff was really nice and on top of everything. They were amazing to the bride and groom. My friend said everytime her drink was half empty they were giving her a fresh one.
I liked that they served Pina Coladas after the ceremony they are my fave and were really good! the bartenders are great, everyone of my drinks was realllyyy strong lol.
The CH food was pretty good.. it was outside so it was very pretty. For dinner it was set up as a buffet and everything I had was pretty good.

Wow. thanks for the response. I chose the buffet as well and was getting concerned (for no particular reason) as to how it would be set up etc.
Was it alot of food? Did you get to go back for seconds?

I thought they had the buffet set up nicely, it was a lil confused on who could go up when but I think that was more the dj's fault, he wasn't very clear.
There were definitely a lot of choices, I know I only got one plate of food, but it was a huge plate... I'm not 100% sure, but knowing my FH i'm sure went back for seconds lol

My Aunt got married there last year and it was nice. She had a very small, intimate affair and they were wonderful. They had great drinks and the buffet wasn't bad. It was presented very nicely. If you have any other questions, let me know and I will try to remember or can ask my aunt.

I'm going there on Sat but can only stay for the ceremony. My parents are staying for the whole thing. I'll ask my Mom to take some notes. Anything in particular you want info on?

Well I wanted to know things like, was there a mic provided for the officiant, or if not, were you able to hear him clearly? How was the cocktail hour organized? where was the food set up? if there was a buffet dinner, did they get enough to eat at cocktail hour? How was the staff? How did the grounds look (I went in the winter). Were there flies (the lake is pretty close and I heard of issues). And over all if they were pleased with the service and were they treated well.
I know its a lot, but thanks in advance for any help you can give.

no problem, glad to help! I will find out as much as I can and report back on Sun (Since your dates are almost a year apart to the day I should be able to give you good feedback on the grounds.)

The ceremony was outside and we were able to hear everything. Cocktail hour was outside. There were stations and passed hor duerves. There were no flies outside but it was windy and some drinks fell over. Cocktail hour was only half an hour. The food was good. Dinner buffet was inside and guests were called up one table at a time. There was plenty of food to go for a second's. Staff was VERY attentative to the guests and overall great service. Only thing my Mom commented on was that they were in the back of the room and the ac wasn't really working back there, that you should maybe ask about. Overall, said she had a great time and it was a beautiful place. You made a great choice.
