Hi Girls!! It has been a long time since I have been on this website. I have been married for 2 years now & have since left Long Island. I am hoping some one out there can help me. I received such great tips here when I was planning my wedding that I am sure you girls will be able to give me some info. My FSIL is planning to get married on the beach in the Hamptons this coming September. We are having a little bit of a hard time finding bridesmaid dresses that are 'beachy'. I am so far away that my only resource is the internet & I am not having a great deal of luck. Please if anyone knows of any websites or, shows on L.I. or bridal salons she can visit, would you let me know? It would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks all, Vicki

Re: Beach theme
i also wanted dresses for the BM's that are somewhat beachy. I brought my girls to Adrienne's in Islip (an hour from East Hampton) and there was a lot of cute dresses there. And what i was looking for was something that wasn't long and that wasn't that heavy satin material. I'd check them out if i were you. Other than that, i was thinking about some dresses from Jcrew that were cute. Let me check out some websites for you that i have saved at home and i'll get back to you.

Thanks so much!!! Any help would be much appreciated!!!! I love Gurney's....I miss the east end soooooo much!!!! I am in Nashville,TN now & although the weather is great & I love it here there is nothing like being able to go to the beach everyday...(even the cold ones). Anyway, hope you have a beautiful wedding!!!!

Re: Beach theme
I had originally wanted a beach theme, and this was my inspiration for BM dresses. I think one is Jim Hjelm. I was going to have them all chose their opwn dress, in varying shades of turquises and blues, all flowy.
Those are perfect for a beach wedding!! They are so beautiful. We found this one that we liked... It is long but we figure, how many times are you going to wear it???

Re: Beach theme
I am getting married on the water and here is my dress - I thought the color was great for a beach wedding and the tea length is also good for on the beach:
Also check out Bill Levkoff's New Image collection - he has tea length, light weight dresses that are perfect for outdoor/beach weddings:
Any ideas for a dress for a wedding on the beach, but the end of October? The tea length ones are so cute, but I need a long dress for October, preferably a warm one
