Beach Wedding

We just got married June 17 at Sunken Meadow Pavilion (in Kings Park) and had the most amazing day. The place is different, it’s not a ballroom, its just a big room with all glass windows and doors right on the boardwalk in Sunken Meadow Park. It is directly on the beach so if you are looking for something on the beach and don’t want to have to go to the Hamptons this is perfect! They can fit up to 300 or so I think in the room. They do the ceremony right on the sand if you want (see picture) and it was amazing- we were all barefoot! They only do buffet dinner but it was really well done with great food. It’s right on the boardwalk so everyone hangs out inside and outside and they put up a big tent too. I feel like people don’t know about this place so I wanted to let you know how great it was! My only complaint-there is no a/c they keep all the doors open and have a lot of ceiling fans but it was still hot. If you use this place I would look into renting additional fans or portable a/c units. Other than that the place is amazing and truly feels like a beach wedding. I had so many people tell me it was such a relaxing, fun wedding. I had one couple tell me they felt like they were on vacation b/c they were sitting outside on the beach eating and drinking and having fun!
