Beach Weddings

Beach Weddings

Hey All, my FH and I started viewing halls for April 2010. We would love some suggestions as where else to look. We would really like something on the water. We want to go with a beachy, nautical theme. We have looked at -

The Old Field Club - we didnt flip over the GM
Land's End - pricey.
Atlantica - VERY limited menu for price but stunning location.
Venetian Yacht Club
Chateau La Mer (have an appt Saturday)

Does anyone have any additional suggestions? Preferbly between 85-110 pp.

Our RH is Danfords in Port Jeff -- holds up to 150 comfortably. On the water, awesome food, bride and groom get the presidential suite for the night... everything that we wanted....

FH and I looked at the Crescent and they wanted $185 pp - for a Friday I think . . . seemed like a lot to me.

Also, Louis XVI in Patchogue is nice too, great food supposedly, but I am not sure about their prices

Another place (sorry I keep adding posts) is the Thatched Cottage in Centerport.... it's not on a beach but it is on the water and the view is amazing. So are the gardens. I believe that they have reasonable prices as well.

im having a beachy/caribbean theme at the swan club... its on the li sound, but no sand ... just gorgeous gardens and for a great price you can really make the theme fit anywhere.... i had originally wanted a beach place myself but most were out of budget (like crescent) or too far to travel for our families (most dont live on the island)

Atlantica bride here- the menu isn't limited at all- you can change anything you want, bring recipes from home and if they have the ingredients they will make it for you (i.e. we want a pumpkin dish for halloween, possibly pumpkin soup or pumpkin ravioli), and you can add anything you want for additional $ (sushi etc)- the menu is endless!

also did you try gurney's in montauk? they are pricey but right on the ocean. also, the owner of atlantica is opening a new place in long beach- there is a bride on here having her's there.

They also don't do formal tastings...one reason why DH and I didn't book there. We were like, you want us to give you $$$ based on how you say the food will be?
They are less for a Sunday though!!

Re: Beach Weddings

We adore the Atlantica location but it seems like the menu is very little for the cost. You have the flexibility to add things or change things but it costs a lot. Some of these places we have been looking at offer 3x's the food for the price of the Atlantica's regular menu. I wish it was in my budget or we would not even hesitate to book it.

Chateau La Mer is beautiful- hopefully when you go there Sat. you'll enjoy it. I had a great time at TWOTY there. The food is wonderful.

Also check out the Riveria- its one wedding at a time and the price is good too!
