Hello everyone! I am recently engaged (3 weeks!) and we started venue shopping. We really want a beach wedding, but it seems like options are limited. There are plenty of waterfront venues, however we really want a beach. We looked at Gurney's and Atlantica (LOVED IT!- but we want to look further) this weekend, and we are going to check out the Crescent Beach Club. Does anyone have any other suggestions??? Looking forward to hearing! Thanks!!!

Check out Land's End in Sayville :) It is on the beach with beautiful grounds, a gazebo, a beautiful reception room, and awesome food and service. They also give you a lot - they give you table menus, table numbers, BR baskets, etc. The only thing is, you can't really get married on the beach itself. You would be married in the gazebo which is very close to the beach. It's definitely worth checking out...I'm getting married there and doing a seashell theme

Lombardis on the Sound in Pt. Jeff is great (on a cliff but has a staircase to take down to the beach). Old Field Club is on a marsh, Danfords doesn't have a beach but you are right on the Harbor there in Pt. Jeff.

If you want something a little off beat...
I really like the east end of long island, for its vineyards and beaches
Check out this bride's wedding review. I absolutely love what she did and always go back to reading it for ideas!
You can't go wrong with any of the places you are looking at. They are all nice but all a little different. I definitely encourage Atlantica

I am getting married at the Crescent beach club- everything about the place is great! The architecture of the building is unlike anything you'll see in Long Island- the room is simple and elegant- no guady chandeliers- and there are beautiful veiws of the water. And it's the only place where your cocktail hour is literally on the beach, and your ceremony too if you choose. And to top it all off- the food is SO amazing! And they are so accomodating there.

I am also an Atlantica bride. Where do you live? Where are your guests coming from? I would keep that in mind as well.
Oh, and I think Atlantica does the best job....out of anywhere!!

if you're willing to try westchester, instead of LI, check out the surf club in new rochelle. that's where we're getting married. i have pics in my album if you want to take a look. they do their ceremonies in a gazebo on the beach and you have access to their private beach for pictures. its a beautiful place!
