I am getting married in MAY 2011 @ CLM. I am trying to find a theme/colors... I just wanted someone's opinion (or reassurance! LOL)
I was going to do a beachy theme/lighthouse type nautical theme... but i feel that everyone that gets married by the water does this. Is this overused? I mean, I love the beach, we got engaged on the beach in San Juan so I thought that would be nice, but i went to 2 weddings in July 2009 alone by teh water and they both had beach/seashell themes.
Does anyone have any input? Is it overused? is there another theme/color scheme that I can use to incorporate bring on the water into my wedding??

i did our engagement party beach themed, i think it depends on how you do it, but no, i dont think its overused at all

if my wedding was in the spring or summer I would def use that theme but I have a fall wedding. I plan on having that theme for my eparty though!! I had a friend that the beach theme and some of her centerpieces were real fish in fish bowls with candles around it I wish I had a pic of it.

there is a reason it seems overused... because it's a great idea! I say if that's what you want to do then you should go with it. Don't let the fact that it's been done before stop you. You can do a lot of great things with that theme. And for your venue I think it's perfect.

ITA and there are soooo many ideas out there that you can take and make your own to make it more 'you and ur FH'. Its your wedding and you should do what makes you happy and what you love.

thanks girls! I totally love the beach idea but i was afraid people would be coming and and saying... ugh.. another beach themed wedding!
I'll go with it! :) YAY! another decision crossed off my list! lol

Be careful- My brother got married at your RH and the tide was veryyyyyyyy high - It flooded the whole street and I had to go off roading to get out of the parking lot

were getting married at LE in may and we're def using a beachy theme.. we maybe dissing the shells and doing like a sea star or something a LITTLE different but if this theme describes you guys i say DO IT!!!!!
