Lady i am also with you.. I was just recently at a wedding at a wedding and we all (including the bride) requested spanish music and of all songs, what song do they play 'Sauvemente and some grupo Mania Songs: me and FH just looked at each other and were like this is why we we're going with a DJ who is a friend.

A Pedir Su Mano, Juan Luis Guerra

The song is actually about a groom about to go ask for his future bride's hand in marriage. It's SO playful, has a great beat and definitely would be great to watch.

You can maybe open with Bachata Rosa which is slow, classic and romantic (also Juan Luis Guerra) and have it suddenly turn fast into A Pedir Su Mano...your guests will go nuts!

I was in a merengue dance group in college and this was one of our numbers!

Oh and to all the ladies who commented on Elvis Crespo- he was BANNED from our wedding! Do you all have DJ's yet? If you're into Spanish music, I highly recommend the company that DJ'ed our event- Elegancia Entertainment. They were stellar.

Are you looking for a romantic song or fun?

We are having Vamos a Beber by La Gran Manzana, to open up the dance floor. It is a fun song, not really romantic.

But as far as romantic merengues, not much help there sorry.
