Beckwith Pointe & Surf Club

Last weekend we went to check out a few places in New Rochelle and i fell in love with Beckwith Pointe. I loved the small feel and the intimacy from the outside. My second choice from the outside is the Surf Club... I still did not make an appointment to meet with them. I was wondering if any had a wedding at eather, how was the service and the food ??? How much can i expect them to charge me per plate ...I am planing a Saturday night wedding

I was at a wedding at the Surf Club and college formal at Beckwith Pointe. I thought the Surf Club was lovely and the service was good. The food was good too but not memorable. Beckwith Pointe had awesome food and nice decor. When I was looking at RH and got a quote over the phone from Surf Club for a Saturday night in Nov/Dec 08 and I believe the quote was $125 pp, I tried to call Beckwith Pointe but it was too late and by the time I thought to call again we picked a place on LI.

I'm having my wedding at Beckwith Pointe I fell in love with it and didnt look any further at any other places on that strip. There food is awesome & everyone there is so nice & helpful. Tobewed had her wedding there and gave me positive feedback. I heard the Surf Club is nice also either one is a great choice!

is the reception over 130 per plate there???

Depends on what menu you go with and the season but I dont believe it is over 130- Go for an appointments for pricing etc. they are soo nice- Also you will be able to do a food tasting you just have to find out when the next one is scheduled.

Both places are beautiful. But i think surf's club is more to the pricey side unless you can haggle them. I am having my wedding at Greentree (down from surf's club).

I have heard that the surf club cuts a huge deal on the per person cost once you go over a certain number of guests.

I think the surf club is really nice. I've been to weddings there. All the places in New Rochelle in that area are pretty nice. I think there is another one there called the davenport that was also pretty.

i've been to a wedding at beckwith pointe last year. it was lovely. food was great. had a great time! don't know much about surf club though.

Hi there, haven't been on the boards in about a week, sorry...

Beckwith Pointe was AMAZING! I am so happy that we had our wedding there! The room was the perfect size for 170 guests. I think you can comfortably fit up to 200. The views were unbelievable for pics and ambience! The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to insure that our day went perfect! We still are getting compliments about how amazing the food was, which was great to hear! We went for 2 tastings and the food was good, but they were right when they said that it will be even better the night of your wedding. Make an appt. to sit down and talk w/ Mike Burbage, he is the nicest guy! You won't be disappointed! Good luck.

A friend of mine just visited Surf Club for her December 08 wedding, she was told they will be remodeling but open in time for her wedding. She opted to go with Greentree because she was afraid that the decor of Surf Club would be drastically different. Good luck!
