Bed, Bath, & Beyond Registry Weirdness?!

Original post by silyss

HI Girls- so I check my registry a few times a day. All of a sudden from last night, it went from 20-30 gifts, which is odd. So I scroll down, and there are items shown as being purchased that I NEVER PUT ON THERE?! And weird things too, like special mouth rinses, etc. There are a bunch of Harmon items put on there. Also a monogrammed towel with my new initial, but I never put in on there.

I'm confused- how can this happen? Did people buy these items and asked that they be put on my registry.. b/c I would think this cannot be done. I am getting ready for work now so can't do anything but I asked my fiance to call BBB later and find out whats going on.

Any ideas? I don't want to remove these items b/c I want to get to the bottom of this. Plus it shows these items as being purchased, anyways.. so no one can buy them thinking we want them.

Yes it actually just happened again, someone purchased something we did not request.

What's their return policy? Can we just return it, or do we have to exchange??

i went to BBB the other day and bought stuff off my own registry with some of the gift cards i received from my shower. but i'm anal and i wanted to show that those douments had been 'fulfilled' so i handed her my registry bar code. I told the cashier that some of the items i was purchasing were not on the registry. (i didn't tell her they were for me ) and she asked me if i wanted to add them to the registry, i said sure because if i change my mind and need to return anything i won't need a receipt since its on the registry.
However, she only added the items i told her were not on the registry - she didn't add everything else that i purchased - if this makes sense to you?

I purchased my cousins registry gifts and a bottle of quicktrim for myself, how embarrassing, it went on her registry. ( p.s. i lost no weight ) lol

I wish if this is the case that BBB sold more personal stuff & then it would come up on your regustry! how embarassing & then the person would never know that you know....hahaha
