Bed Rest?

I was put on bedrest for about 10 days at 8 weeks because I was spotting. The Er doc called it a threatened abortion aka possible real early miscarriage ( God, what a horrible diagnosis to have to hear!) so he told me they couldn't do anything but to make sure I didn't miscarry I was told to just do nothing, rest and get off my feet.
But I'm 17 weeks now and mommy and baby are doing fine. I ended up losing my job over it but I'm still pregnant so screw my boss I had priorities.

Jenhos is everything ok? Do you have to go on bedrest?

ETA - I finally signed up for the Orientation at Winthrop! I think Dawnie said you signed up for the one on Jan 18th right???

OMG, what do you mean, they fired you for being out for 10 day?? People take vacations for longer than that!

Thanks for asking. I am having a few issues. I have been having cramping a lot. My doc is monitoring it. My sciatica is almost unbearable by the end of the dy and my back is in agony. Scry part is I have not gained anything nor do I have a belly yet. So we see the doc on Sat. Should be interesting. I was just wondering how early he could actually want to pull me out if that is the way we go.

I worked HR for a major department store I also did there safe and cash room each morning.

My job entailed me conducting all the first round interviews for Christmas Help as well as being locked in a small room with no air and I was unable to leave it once I was in the safe (which btw totally sucked when I had horrific morning sickness)

I extra left work at noon on the day I went to the ER which they weren't happy about because I had to cancel some interviews.

I was in day 80 of my 90 day test period so they were able to fire me since even though I had doctor's notes they said they couldn't have this happen during this time of the season it was a prior to thanksgiving with all the new hires I had and since the Doctor's had on the note my bed rest was indefinete I was just told maybe it was better I didn't return.

My store manager had enough issues when he hired me because my husband is Active Duty I had to swear to him that I wouldn't move away during a deployment and all this other crap. When I told him I was pregnant everyone at the store told me he would be so excitied because he was a new grandpa but nope.

I ran into a former co worker the other week at my OB clinic she does in store marketing and she is also pregnant and getting crap.

It's a whole different world down here in the South, it is all about the Good ole Boys network and Mom's are expected to be home with there babies. I loved my job and went above and beyond for him and got screwed. It wasen't worth fighting it since I was still in my test period especially for the extremely crappy pay they pay down here.

So now I'm at home and temp but we are tight but hey, atleast we are fine and now I have off for the holidays which I wasen't expecting.
