hello. we registered on bbb's website and i think a lot of what we registered may only be available online, for example i do not think they carry our china (mikasa french countryside) in the store.
my question is, if people go to the store to view our registry and to buy us gifts, can they have stuff sent to the store for pick up???
i know linens-n-things does this, but i am not sure about bed bath and beyond. my concern with getting china ordered to their homes would be possible breakage. if they order it to the store and it arrives broken the store would have to take care of it on the spot.
thanks, lacey

The salespeole in the registry dept can order items not carried in the store and then have them shipped directly to the shipping address you gave them when you registered.

hmm. i guess if people want them sent to their homes they would do that too (if its like a shower gift they would want to bring to the shower themselves and such). i was just thinking that pieces of china might arrive broken and that would stink. oh well. thanks~lacey

BB&B is pretty good about the whole registry thing, I think that if something arrived broken they would replace it.

Hey- I actually had the same china (mikasa F Countryside..good choice.) It was also from BBB. Most of the people had it mailed to their houses. It is packaged REALLY well. Mikasa has it well packaged & then the shippers at BBB add a ton of bubble wrap. I have had stuff shipped from linens & things with NO bubble wrap- they replaced it all with little problem.
These company's are really good about that, whether it is shipped to the store or someones home. Having it sent to the house is obviously more convenient, as it saves a second trip to the store. Don't stress too much- BBB was really faantastic & people will find a way to get the stuff for you,, even if it is not in the stores. People love online shopping these days. :)
