Bedding

We registered for some pretty expensive bedding (Donna Karan Home Precious Metals) - do people actually GET their bedding? I'm all excited about it, but FH could care less.

Did you guys actually get it?

Re: Bedding

I know my FMIL wants to buy us our bedding.. but wedding's I've been in in the past the bridal party has chipped in and gotten the bedding together. Hint to your MOH that your bedding is important and maybe they'll do that for you.

Yup - got it all at my shower! My aunt and 3 cousins bought it all - duvet, cover, shams, skirt, sheets, pillows - everything!

Re: Bedding

We did register for bedding those 'bed in a bag' at Macy's. It was nothing expensive and nothing special about the pattern or material that would cost a lot. However, we never got it as a gift. But one of DH's aunt and uncle did gave us a quilt that was not on any of our registries. We've registered at 2 stores and this quilt never came from either. It was nice and became useful this winter though. It's the thought that counts!

We got ours also. My aunts and uncles chipped in for it.

Re: Bedding

I registered at Macy's and bed bath and beyond and did not see any bedding I really liked. I was looking for something not to feminine since it is the FH bedroom too. I found bedding at fortunoffs that I liked. My mom bought it for me already with matching everything, so this will be my shower gift. No surprises, oh we'll.

Our bedding is pretty expensive too and my FMIL bought us ALL of it. My shower isn't for a few months, but she already told me.

I also registered for Donna Karen bedding.. the one called 'Urban Garden'. I think we will get it. The quilt I want and the duvet cover are expensive, but the other items are managable.

Re: Bedding

My brother and I both registered for fancy CK bedding and we both got it all. For my brother, I watched for sales and then bought it from the entire bridal party...it wasn't bad at all that way. I got it mine from my immediate family.

We did also, I think if you add up everything, it comes way over $1000. I did not think anyone would buy it.

However, to my surpise someone bought all of it at once from our registry for my shower. ( yes I peeked) I guess I will find out who soon enough!!!!

I registered for Firenzie at Fortunoffs. My FMIL already bought it for us, but we have the matching sheets on the registry.
