Been asked a million times- When to send STDs?

I'm getting married June of next year- Father's Day in fact.

Originally I was planning a Memorial day weekend wedding so i had planned to send out STDs one year in advance.

Since it's father's day and summer it might be wise to still send them early, but is it TOO early, like people won't have a calendar to put it on? Should I wait until Christmas and put them in Christmas cards?

Thoughts?

I would send out the STD's like 7-8 months in advance since its on Father's Day.

I sent mine out 9/10 mos. in advance.

I just sent mine out yesterday so like 9-10 months in advance. IMO I wouldn't do it more than a year in advance.

My are addressed, and going in the mail today...about 7 1/2 months before the big day!

i think i sent mine out at the 8 month mark

I plan on sending ours out just under the year mark. I want to block the hotel rooms before sending them out because the hotel info will be included in the envelope.

I'm getting married next June too! I plan on sending mine around September...

I'm planning on sending mine a year before my wedding. A very large portion of our invitees are coming from out of town, state, and country. I really want to give them a 'heads up.' In fact, if there are OOT people that you really want to make sure are there, you should probably even tell them verbally sooner rather than later so they can play wayy in advance (vacation time from work, saving money for the flight/hotel, etc.). My mom wants me to send them in June of this year for my November 2011 wedding. I think that's a bit much! But a year in advance should be fine.
