Been MIA before the wedding now I AM MARRIED

My wedding was a little more than 2 weeks ago and I am so HAPPY to be MRS. KUHN.

The two weeks leading up to the wedding were unreal.

One of my old friends who introduced Mike and I died of a herion OD . Although I do not support drug use I was still really upset that he passed away. He was in a coma and I was going to say goodbye to him before they pulled the plug when I got the worst news I could ever imagine. ( after this news I never got to say goodbye to him)


My Godfather, My mentor, My uncle , My friend; got killed by a effing idiot. My uncle was on his harley crusing, when this guy cut infront of him smashed into my Uncle riding his bike. My Uncle died instantly. He was a state trooper,an airforce vet, a narc and a writer. He left behind my aunt and two cousins. This was something I was NOT expecting.This was 10 days before my wedding. My parents didnt want to tell me over the phone and were on their way up to my job to tell me when I found out on Facebook. The worst way ever to find out something like that. I never felt so much heartache in my life... Not having him at my wedding was like someone ripped my heart out and stommped on it. The pain my family and I felt ( and still feel) is unimaginable.

Then I found out my aunt who's birthday is on my wedding couldnt come to my wedding because she has stage 4 cancer and needed emergency surgery the night before my wedding. God bless her soul she is now doing SOOOOOOOO much better!!!

As if it couldnt get any worse 6 days before my wedding I got into a car accident. Totaled my car and got rushed to the emergency room with burns and bruises from the airbag. My arm was burnt really bad and wasnt healed in time for my wedding. Thank GOD for photoshop!

While dealing with all this loss heartache and tough times. I found that every 'wedding problem' didnt really matter anymore. Eff flowers, screw table seating drama, and everything else a bride stresses out about the days and weeks before leading up to the big day. I found comfort in my husband close friends and family, and that is what got me through. My husband was great to me and it really made me realize why I was marrying him.

My advice to brides is if anything happens that you dont except dont wallow in your sorrows, pick yourself up and move on. worse things can happen. It really isnt all about the little things on the wedding day but marrying the love of my life. If I was taught anything from these terrible days leading up to my wedding it was just that.

For now I am trying to lead a happy life as a newlywed with my amazing husband, but my heart is still aching.

Sorry for such a long story I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop of where I was and what happened. I will post later about my wedding and honeymoon. and hpoefully write a review.

Wow - I am so sorry you had to go through all of this. No one should ever experience this much loss and heartache, especially in such a small time frame. Keep you positive attitude going and I'm looking forward to seeing pictures from your day!

OMG I cannot believe what I just read! For all of that to happen 2 weeks before your wedding seems unreal! I am so, sooooo sorry for all that has happened to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope your aunt is recovering well after her emergency surgery. I pray she gets better. I hope in spite of all the tragic events that happened, your wedding day was amazing!

I'm sorry about everything that has happened to you. Like Pinkisles said, you do have a positive attitude and are very brave and strong. I am sorry for your losses and happy that you are ok after your car accident. I can't wait to hear about your wedding.

I can't believe all tha happened to you, but you're right..there are more things that matter in life than your flowers weren't right. I'm sorry you had to go thru all that but you're a strong person for it, and lucky your husband was there every step of the way. Your godfather & friend are in heaven now and watching over everyone. I only wish you strength and pure happiness form this moment on, and can't wait to see how beautiful you looked on your wedding day!
