Re: Has anyone been to these restaurants???
I've never been to any of them except for Abel Conklin's, which was pretty expensive (but good)!! I don't know how much you are willing to spend, but it was about $180 for dinner for two people....
Steakhouses tend to be pricey What about Jonathan's in Mineola? They have good food and good prices. Try www.eatli.com for more suggestions. Good luck!

Jesus, 180 for two people, nope can't spend that much x 4.
I know its impossible to find a reasonable restaurant on Long Island.

Re: Has anyone been to these restaurants???
I have been to PG Steakhouse- VERY EXPENSIVE... also very small.
I would recommend this steak house in Woodbury just behond Huntington on Jericho Turnpike. 'Majors' Steak house. If you are heading west on Jericho, it will be on your Right hand side. Very good food and resonable prices.

Oh I'll definitly check out Majors! I think I saw them listed on a website, but couldn't find one just for the restaurant itself.
Is maneros in syosset expensive too?

I must second the recommendation of Major's. It has really good food( My parents love the Steak there) and is VERY reasonable.

I know it is busy for Lunch and on Friday and Saturday nights. But I think it may be worth the wait.

I went to BZ's Fireside once years ago. One of my friend's always liked it so I went with her. I wasn't impressed.

Try calling for reservations... most steak houses take reservations. Like all restaurants these days...when aren't they busy! LoL It seems as if no one cooks these days. I hope 'Majors' works out for you.

Burke and Shapiro in Smithtown is fabulous, but a little pricey. Everything is a la carte. If you go, try the creamed spinach. Yummy!

I have heard Vintage is very expensive. I don't think Manero's in Syosset is as bad and the food is really good there.

Re: Has anyone been to these restaurants???
Vintage is expensive but worth it!!! But I truly believe that you get what you pay for - Majors is okay (IMO) and reasonably priced but Vintage is outstanding and more expensive. They are different quality restaurants. Good luck deciding!
If it helps, we went to Casa Rustica in Smithtown for our parents gtg. Food was excellent!
