I am on the opposite end of the spectrum. FH and i were only together for 5 MONTHS before he proposed and we will be together only a 1.5 years on our wedding date...
I am curious..... why soooo long for some of you? did you meet when you weer very young? you just weren't sure?? you were saving for a big wedding??? just curious....

We will be together for 7 years next month! We'll be dating for 7 1/2 years when we get married. So our 7 them works for the wedding! 7 years together and getting married on 7/7/07!

I was 16 when we started dating, he was 19. It will be 9 years in February and we waited this long since I finished high school, college and law school all throughout our relationship. He really wanted me to finish school before we get married (since he always thought I would get pg and then quit school). We have been 'sure' about each other since 6 months into the relationship and since there were other important things that needed to be done first (like finishing school) we waited.

My FH and I have been together for 12 years and 5 months when we get married it will be 13 years and 4 months. It has been forever. But he's worth it.

I met my FH when I was turning 17 in 3 weeks from the day we met...He is 7 years older than me. We waited a long time because we never considered marriage until like 4 years ago. We waited until we were both ready!! I am sooo happy we did!!

When FH proposed we were dating for 5 years & 2 months. Our 6 year anniversary is coming up this March!
When we marry we will have been together for 6 years & 8 months!

I met FH when I was 17. We are now both 25. We both knew we were right for each other after like a month, but obviously too young then. We both decided to wait until we were finished with school and were financially ready to get married. Unfortunately, school for him took a little longer, but he graduated May of 2005, got a job in July 2005, and proposed in November 2005. So he kept his promise! He was definitely worth waiting for!

will be about 7 and a half years on our wedding day - our 7 yr anni will be on feb 2
we met when i was a freshman in college - neither of us wanted to rush into marriage - we wanted to finish school adn get jobs and what not.. and here were are!
