FH is refusing to go with me to register for the bridal shower because he thinks if people get us a gift at the bridal shower they will not give us a wedding gift....I disagree with him....who's right?

The whole point of a shower is to get gifts. Most people won't get you gift for the wedding. THey'll give money.
