Is there anything else we are forgetting? We have so much going on that it would be easy to forget something obvious.

Ourselves! But my 2 uncles are contractors, my grandfather is a retired contractor, my brother and cousin work for my unlces, Rays brother is a plumber, another one is an electrician... and our moms are cleaning machines! Its going really well so far!

exterminate? I guess that's not an issue if there isn't anything obvious lurking around, but you may want to do it as a preventitive measure.

If you are intrestead in central air, it is eaiser when the ceiling is open, i think you covered everything else

Definitely make sure you have your wood treated for termites and stuff before you put the walls up. Do a full extermination.
