Belize

Anyone honeymooning in Belize, or went on vacation there? We are trying to decide between Belize and Hawaii and would love to hear comments on where to stay/hotels/activities from people who have been, thanks! It will be for the last two weeks in October for 11 nights

I went to Belize for my HM.....It was by far the best vacation I have been on. I have been to Hawaii and I thought it was very pretty but IMO not that special.

We stayed on Ambergris Caye for 10 days and had tons to do. There are so many excursions you can go on or just relax by the pool. The town is great for shopping and dinners.

The only thing is if you are looking for a huge resort type place you wont find it there. They are all smaller independent hotels....but still beautiful. I stayed at the Portofino if you want to see what ours was like......we had one of the beach cabanas
