Bella's Not feeling Well..... UPDATE..9/9
As some of you know, she has had an urinary track infection for 2 1/2 weeks now, and is on her second round of antibiotics.
Well, tonight, while we were walking, she peed on the sidewalk, and it was all blood..
It was the first time she has ever had just blood come out. I called the vet, and I have to go in the morning, they think she has bladder stones.....
My little girl is only 11 months old.... I'm so upset. They are going to have to sedate her to do xrays, and use a needle to get a steril urine sample....
Has anyone's pet had bladder stones?
***UPDATE***
I brought Bella this morning to the vet, and they removed urine from her bladder, and did xrays. They didn't have to sedate her, b/c she was pretty calm. But the X-rays show a stone in her bladder, and the urine shows a positve (forgot what it's called) for a calcium stone.
Tomorrow we have to go back to get a sonogram done to confirm the stone. If it is confirmed, the stone needs to be removed b/c it's to big to pass... The reason for the blood, is b/c it's moving around inside her bladder and scraping the blood vessels.
Ok.. we need many prayers, and hope that the xray is wrong, and it's just an urininary infection... If she has surgery, we have to leave her for a couple of days...
Thanks for the hugs... I have been crying all morning..
***********NEW UPDATE 9/9/05***********
I want to thank ALL of you for all of your prayers and good thoughts and hugs!!!! We went to the vet yesturday, and the Dr. did the Sonogram and Couldn't find the stones that were on the Xray... They were concerned b/c they were calcium stones that wouldn't be able to disolve, and she wasn't going to be able to pass them... Well!! The stones were gone!!! They spent so much extra time looking to make sure and they did More Xrays, b/c 2 Drs saw the stones on the first Xray. Now my little girl doesn't need surgery, b/c by some wonderful sort of miracle, the stones disappeared. The Drs were even baffled They even apologized for putting us through this, b/c they were positive about what they saw...
She needs to finish her antibiotics to get rid of the rest of the UTI and then we'll be back to normal!!!!!!
Bella sends all of her love and kisses, and so do I!!!!!!
