I have not been to Smithtown Landing but I was at Bellport CC and it was an amazing wedding. The staff was amazing and they did a great job
I've heard all good things about Bellport CC. I considered that venue for my own wedding but just ended up going another direction. A friend of mine in the wedding business speaks highly of Bellport CC.
I've been to both, never as a guest, just while I was looking for my own wedding. Bellport Country Club was the first place my FH and I had seen together. We are paying for everything ourselves so I only looked at places that were under $100 pp which I had confirmed with coordinators over the phone. Once I got to Bellport, the price changed by about $30. Smithtown and West Sayville both gave me the quote on the phone, tax and fees included. I went with Smithtown Landing.
Bellport was my first choice but the price is what killed it for us. I knew what the food was like at Bellport having been there and the Irish Coffee Pub (same owners) so I knew what we'd be getting (excellent food). We were all set to book Bellport (it was the only place I wanted), actually had our appt all set to book and I stumbled upon SLCC on here in a post so I literally begged my husband to go look at it and see what it was about. Not going to lie, the price drew me in. So, after begging enough (he didn't want to go because he thought I'd just keep changing my mind constantly) he agreed to go and we both loved it. It doesn't have the same view as Bellport but its just as pretty. We talked it over and decided if we were serious about booking SLCC then we needed a tasting first. Like I said we knew what kind of food we'd be serving our guests at Bellport CC and that was very important to us to make sure we got something just as good. The food for our tasting was amazing, just as good as Bellport. So we decided to book SLCC instead and we were able to afford a Saturday night wedding as opposed to a Sunday afternoon wedding at Bellport (which was all we could afford there). In the end I wouldn't have changed my decision to switch to SLCC even if the prices were the same for both. Our guests still talk about the food and how much fun they had and we had an amazing time too so we're both very happy with our decision. I'm so happy I stumbled on that post when I did.
We are booked at SLCC ,after seeing one other venue. I don't know anything about bell port cc but we totally fell in love with SLCC! Rich is amazing and a very honest guy, he quoted us basically the wrong price and stuck to his word. He gave us a lot of extras without us really asking and the place is beautiful. They are actually having a showcase this Sunday 12-3 they will have tours of the place I think and also cocktail hour food and drinks for free. (I know because I'm going for th second time!)
I recently went to a wedding at Bellport CC and the staff was amazing. Not only that but the food was delicious!
Never went to Bellport but SLCC is great!!
